15 Teams Participate in Cooking and Making Hampers Competition

South Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency held Cooking and Making Hampers competition at Ragunan Agro Educational Tourism (AEW), Pasar Minggu. The competition was participated by 15 teams.

South Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Hasudungan A Sidabalok, said all the raw materials for cooking and making these hampers are the result of cultivation at AEW.

Hasudungan explained each team consisted two people. 10 teams are fostered Jakpreneur and the rests were TP PKK cadre, partner, and sub-agency personnel.
"The menus cooked by the participants were baby octopus, lemon teleng flower tea, and creamy spinach and grilled chicken," he explained.
Hasudungan added that this activity also aims to develop participants' talents in making delicious, healthy, and nutritious food. Later on, this menu can be added to participants' business products or for family consumption.
"We also gave gifts for seven winners," he added.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta Vice Mayor Wife, Yanti Edi Sumantri, hoped this program will increase the income of micro, small and medium enterprises in South Jakarta.
She added that the involvement of collaborative partners can also open opportunities for cooperation in the culinary business.
"I also hope that the processed dishes from the utilization of this plantation can be an example for residents to maintain environmental food security by farming on limited land," she stated.
